Over the past 20 years, instructor Mikiala has found yoga to be the most powerful way to develop and maintain physical vitality, mental clarity and a joyful engagement with life. Mikiala began mediating at the age of 16 in the caves of Egypt and completed over 100 hours of Vipasana meditation in India years later. She attributes her greater found personal peace to including mediation within her yoga practice, teachings and daily life. Searching for a way to deepen her own practice and a desire to share the many benefits of yoga with others, Mikiala completed the teacher-training program in 2009 at one of the most proficient yoga schools in the country, YogaWorks. She holds a professional certification with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT) and is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP).  Her yoga classes generally feature gentle flowing sequences, attention to alignment, and an appreciation for community and connection.
